Anderson Hill Construction

Anderson Hill Construction rehabs REO properties and bank-owned homes. Whatever the damage, they come in and repare, replace, and refurbish. On rare occasions, a home is too damaged for rehab work, and it needs to be demolished. So we helped Anderson Hill put together a fun, unique look at the more destructive part of their business.

Sherrill Pest Control

Sherrill Pest Control serves a huge area of Middle Tennessee, and counts the Bonnaroo music festival among their clients. Working with Harpeth Productions, we created an ad designed to capitalize on that association while underlining their conncetion and committment to the Middle Tennessee area:

UpDesk

UpDesk, made by Techno Aide in Nashville, TN, is a brand new product. An electric height adjustable desk that goes up and down at the push of a button. They wanted video that would discuss the benefits of using the UpDesk to those searching for ergonimic solutions and answers to neck and back pain.

Movie Supercuts

The Viral Orchard has a number of viral video successes, including multiple "movie supercuts"--online videos where entire films (or multiple films) are spliced together to show a repeated phrase or action. Their channel has several viral videos, including supercuts of Pulp Fiction, Fast & Furious, Star Wars, Dark Knight, & many more, and reached 1.4 million total views in less than a year and with only a dozen videos. You can see some of the video hits created by The Viral Orchard below:

Naked Gaming Party

The Naked Gaming Party was a video promotion for Xtend Play, an ergonomic and flexible holder for your video game controller. To help announced the product, the company created a fake nude gaming party, and documented it on video. Earned media included Kotaku, Complex, Ebaum's World, Gothimist, Break,& hundreds more. Working with Thinkmodo, the Viral Orchard team provided general consulting and various SEO services for this project.

iPhone & other ad spoofs

We were hired early on by an individual who wanted to use online video to poke fun at the hip culture of Apple fans. We came up with a concept that mimicked the device’s commercials, with a slightly more incendiary narration. We were initially skeptical, but it was the early days of The Viral Orchard, and we weren’t in a position to turn down work (plus we were excessively sleep deprived). Working with the client, we managed to craft a concept that was funny, biting, and clearly hit a nerve with the intended audience--Reddit was our biggest source of traffic. The video has over 300,000 views to date. (Warning: Strong Language)

ReelSEO content (articles, ebooks)

Both cofounders of The Viral Orchard have been contributing authors at ReelSEO.com, a leading website source for online video marketing news and tips--Jeremy wrote for 3 years, eventually serving as Editor-in-Chief; Chris still writes for ReelSEO today. Here are some of the more memorable and popular content articles The Viral Orchard has created for ReelSEO:

MySuperProposal.com

We helped consult on the original concept for this promotion, and we also managed the website and media relations. Can you imagine the nerve of someone trying to round up enough donations to buy his own Super Bowl commercial all for the purposes of proposing? While final negotiations on a national Super Bowl sponsorship fell through at the 11th hour, the would-be groom still surprised his girlfriend with a television commercial in their local Seattle market. My Super Proposal was featured on Inside Edition, The Oprah Winfrey Show, E-online, Entertainment Tonight, Fox News, Ad Rants, and more than a hundred other major media outlets.

FantasyUnSports.com

Fantasy sports is one of the fastest-growing hobbies (and industries) in the coutnry. And Fantasy UnSports was the anti-fantasy-football. The game was devised to work just like traditional fantasy football, only instead of earning points for touchdowns and yards, players earn points for all the negative things NFL personnel do: arrests, fines, penalties, & more.

The project found early steam with write ups in The Wall Street Journal, With Leather, and Yahoo Sports and had three successful seasons before its creator moved on to another personal project.
